The Family
Every family has its cast of characters. Ours has two people, two boys, one very fluffy dog, and a whole lot of chickens. Here's who's who.
Mom
✿Whimsical artist, gardener, and lover of every bug she meets. One of six siblings, so a busy house feels like home. You'll find her painting, tending the garden, or unwinding with a late-night Netflix binge once the boys are asleep.
Dad (and the best stepdad)
✿Marine Corps Reservist and lifelong outdoorsman. Happiest on a long backpacking trip, a quiet hike, or an annual hunting trip with his dad and brothers, he's one of four boys. When he's home you'll catch him in the gym or with a book in hand. Mikah's stepdad, and chose him fully from day one.
Big Brother
✿Born November 24, 2017. A little fish the second he hits the water, a builder of anything he can get his hands on, and an amazing big brother. Halloween is his favorite holiday, no contest.
Little Brother
✿Born October 5, 2020. Tough, fast, and always in motion. Usually outside on his bike or scooter, playing with anything that has wheels, and up for a "medium" long walk any day of the week.
The four-legged & feathered
The Havanese
Small, black and white, silky coat. Believes she is a very large dog trapped in a small dog's body.
The coop
A rotating cast of hens who lay excellent eggs and share plenty of opinions on the weather.
